The BRIT Awards 2026: A Night of Music and Celebration
On Saturday, 28 February, the BRIT Awards will make its grand debut at the Co-op Live venue in Manchester, promising an unforgettable night filled with music, performances, and celebration. This year’s event is set to showcase a diverse lineup of nominees and performers, making it a must-watch for music fans around the globe.
Host and Special Performances
The evening will be hosted by the ever-charismatic Jack Whitehall, known for his wit and charm. One of the highlights of the night will be a special performance by the singing voices of Netflix’s global sensation, KPop Demon Hunters. This performance is particularly significant as the group has garnered two nominations: International Song of the Year and International Group.
To celebrate their nominations, the trio of EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI will perform outside the arena for invited fans. Warren shared his gratitude, saying, “The UK is where ‘Ordinary’ first broke and changed my life last year. I am so grateful for all the love from my fans there, and I can’t wait to bring a big performance to the BRITs’ stage for the very first time.”
Another notable performer is Rosalia, nominated for International Artist of the Year. As Spain’s biggest star, she will debut her BRITs performance, showcasing her versatility with her latest album, Lux, which features songs in 14 different languages and topped charts in five countries.
Honoring Musical Legends
This year’s BRIT Awards will also honor musical legends. Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher will receive the Songwriter of the Year award, a recognition decided by a panel of esteemed judges, including Ed Sheeran, RAYE, and Charli XCX. Gallagher’s songwriting has been pivotal in the music scene, with classics like “Live Forever” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger” solidifying his legacy.

Leading the nominations this year are British artists Lola Young and Olivia Dean, both former BRIT School students, each receiving five nominations. Olivia Dean, who recently won Best New Artist at the Grammys, is also nominated for Song of the Year with Mastercard and will perform at the show. Other artists with three nominations include Dave, Fred Again, Jim Legxacy, Lily Allen, and Wolf Alice, showcasing the rich talent emerging from the UK music scene.
Pulp, a band that has not received a nomination since 1996, is in the running for Group of the Year, marking a significant comeback for the iconic group.
Mark Ronson: A Musical Journey
Recognized for his outstanding contribution to music, DJ, musician, and producer Mark Ronson will both perform and receive an award at the BRIT Awards. Over his two-decade career, Ronson has accumulated an impressive 25 billion global streams and produced numerous multi-platinum records, including the iconic “Uptown Funk” with Bruno Mars and “Valerie” with Amy Winehouse.
In a heartfelt statement, Ronson expressed his gratitude, saying, “This is the most meaningful honour of my career. I think of the times I’ve watched artists I revere accept this same award. The idea that I’m now standing in that lineage feels impossible. The UK artists I’ve worked with—their brilliance and refusal to compromise—shaped not just my work but how I understand what music should do.”
