As the holiday season approaches, Centerstage Theatre is set to enchant audiences with its latest production, “Beauty and the Beast: a Holiday Panto.” Running from November 30 through December 22, this festive adaptation promises to deliver a delightful blend of classic fairy tale charm and vibrant theatrical flair.

The Holiday Panto is a beloved tradition at Centerstage Theatre, known for its raucous humor, engaging storytelling, and family-friendly atmosphere. This year’s production of “Beauty and the Beast” brings together the timeless tale of love and redemption with a cast of wonderfully over-the-top characters. “Beauty and the Beast: a Holiday Panto” will be performed at the Knutzen Family Theater, located at 3200 SW Dash Point Rd., Federal Way. Showtimes are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with additional matinee performances at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are priced at $42 in advance (available online or over the phone) and $45 at the door. Discounts for students, military personnel, and seniors are also available, making this enchanting experience accessible to a wider audience.

Meet the Cast

The production features a talented ensemble of local actors, each bringing their unique flair to the beloved characters. Jessie Selleck takes on the role of Belle, while Joshua Banks portrays the Beast. The charismatic Kyle Sinclair embodies Gaston, and Meghan Ames brings humor to the character of Lefou. The cast also includes Brad Cerenzia as Dolly/Polly, Jasmine Flora as Mysteria, and Jenna McRill as Fairy Snowflake, among many others. Creative Team Behind the Magic

Written by local playwright Vince Brady, this adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast” is directed by Trista Duval, who has a reputation for bringing stories to life with creativity and passion. The choreography, led by Taylor Davis, promises to add an energetic flair to the production, while music direction by Deborah L. Armstrong ensures that the score resonates with audiences. Sam Peters serves as the assistant musical director and music arranger, with additional arrangements by Daniel Wolfhert. The technical aspects of the show are in the capable hands of Niclas Olson as the tech director and set designer, Shannon C. Miller as the lighting designer, and Krista Lynn Blonski and Morgan Morgans, who have designed the costumes.
