BRIT Awards 2025: Love Island’s Whitney Adebayo Stuns in a Quirky Hooded Gown, Joining CBB’s Zeze Millz and Talia Storm Among the Red Carpet Fashion Misses

The 2025 BRIT Awards, held at London’s O2 Arena, was a night filled with glitz, glamour, and a fair share of fashion faux pas. As the stars graced the red carpet, many seemed to miss the mark, leading to a mix of bewilderment and amusement among fashion critics and fans alike.

Among the attendees, reality star Whitney Adebayo from “Love Island” stood out for all the wrong reasons. The 27-year-old turned heads in a peculiar grey hooded gown that featured sculpted hip panels, a design choice that not only overwhelmed her petite frame but also clashed awkwardly with the red carpet’s backdrop. The futuristic outfit, while ambitious, left many questioning the stylistic choices behind it.

DJ Zeze Millz, known for her role on “Celebrity Big Brother,” also made headlines for her fashion misstep. Hosting from the red carpet, the 35-year-old appeared to have had a run-in with a particularly vicious cat, resulting in her black gown being shredded in various places. The dress, adorned with large shoulder pads and an extravagant train, was further marred by the chaotic state of its sleeves, leaving her look more disheveled than chic.

Radio host Talia Storm, 26, attempted to make a statement with a completely sheer dress embellished with huge white ruffles and black feathers. However, her choice to don dark shades only added to the tackiness of the ensemble, as the sheer fabric left little to the imagination, revealing her skimpy underwear as she posed for the cameras.

The ceremony, hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall for the fifth time, featured electrifying performances from artists like Ezra Collective and special guest Jorja Smith. The night was packed with excitement as a diverse lineup of performers took to the stage, including Jade Thirlwall, Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Fender, and Teddy Swims. However, Charli XCX, who was initially slated to perform, opted out to focus on her preparations for the Grammy Awards, which had taken place earlier that month.

Charli XCX led the nominations at the 2025 BRIT Awards, garnering five nods, closely followed by Dua Lipa with four nominations. The competition was fierce, with Charli ultimately sweeping the awards, taking home accolades for Best Album, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Dance Act, and Best Songwriting. Her success mirrored Raye’s historic win at the previous year’s ceremony, where she claimed a record-breaking six awards.

Dua Lipa, a seasoned BRIT Awards veteran with seven previous wins, was in contention for several categories, including Song of the Year for her hit “Training Season.” Meanwhile, the International Artist of the Year category featured heavyweights like Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish, with Sabrina Carpenter making her mark by winning the Global Success Award, a testament to her growing popularity in the UK.

The fashion choices of the night were not limited to the aforementioned stars. Teddy Swims made a bold statement with a coat made entirely of children’s stuffed toys, a look that was both whimsical and unsettling. Lola Young, who performed at the event, opted for a quirky outfit that drew mixed reactions, while bbyclose, nominated for Song of the Year, sported a strange anorak paired with a tutu and shades.

The winners of the genre awards were determined through a public vote via WhatsApp for the first time, adding an interactive element to the proceedings. Sam Fender was recognized as the Alternative Rock Act for the second time, expressing his gratitude to fans and his band during his acceptance speech. In a surprising twist, Jade Thirlwall claimed the title of Best Pop Act, marking her first solo BRIT after her successful tenure with Little Mix.

The night was not without its share of surprises, as Chappell Roan triumphed in the International Artist of the Year category, beating out established stars like Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar. Her catchy tune “Good Luck, Babe” also earned her the award for International Song of the Year, showcasing her rising star power.

As the evening unfolded, the BRIT Awards continued to celebrate the best in music while providing a platform for both established and emerging artists. The blend of stunning performances, unexpected fashion choices, and memorable moments ensured that the 2025 BRIT Awards would be a night to remember in the annals of British music history.
